Strong Client Service Proves to be a Winning Formula

Firm Earns Higher Ranking as One of "Top 500” Design Firms in the Country

Engineering News Record (ENR), a trade publication and AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) industry observer, selected Wright-Pierce again this year as one of the TOP 500 design firms in the country. ENR compiles and publishes annual rankings of the largest engineering and construction firms in the US, measured by gross revenues.

Wright- Pierce has been ranked in the Top 500 for six consecutive years, and with a 10% revenue growth in 2014, the firm attained its highest ranking to date.

Strong growth in 2014 was marked by the addition of multiple senior level engineers to all core disciplines — water, wastewater and civil infrastructure. In addition, Wright-Pierce completed the design of several major infrastructure projects throughout the Northeast, many are currently under construction. These include significant upgrades to wastewater treatment facilities for Berlin, NH; Fitchburg, MA; Cranston, RI; Manchester, CT and The Mattabassett District in Cromwell, CT; a major stormwater project for the City of Portland, Maine; an award-winning, advanced tertiary wastewater treatment system for Smithfield, RI; and a system-wide water treatment upgrade for the Town of Bellingham, MA which included the expansion of one treatment facility and the addition of a new facility to address elevated iron and manganese levels in multiple sources.

New leadership also began in July of 2014 when John Braccio, PE, succeeded William Brown, PE, as President and CEO.  Mr. Braccio attributes the 68 year-old firm’s growth and higher ENR ranking to:

"Our continued strong commitment to working with our clients to identify and implement the best, most sustainable solutions for their infrastructure needs. Our client-focused approach has proven to be a win-win strategy. The work we do and recognition in the industry has enabled us to attract talented people whose contributions allow us to provide increasingly strong service to our expanding client base.”
