"Wright Way to Wellness" Program Earns Wright-Pierce Healthiest Employer Award

Wright-Pierce was recently named  a winner in the The Healthiest Employers awards program sponsored by Providence Business News. The finalists were selected based on scores in six wellness categories – culture and leadership commitment, foundation components, strategic planning, communication and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analysis. Healthiest Employer, LLC, an Indiana limited liability company in association with the American City Business Journals, Inc. partnered with Providence Business News as sponsors of this awards and recognition program.

The award recognizes Wright-Pierce for the success of the Wright Way to Wellness program initiated three years ago. The program, led by Wellness Ambassadors at each of our offices informs, educates and motivates our 200 plus employees to improve their health and quality of life by making healthy life style choices.

A recent challenge combined exercise with a nutritional component as Wright-Pierce teams virtually walked from Maine to Connecticut, stopping at Farmers Markets en route. The Wellness program offers a variety of other health challenges also, including fitness reimbursements, on-site flu clinics, health fairs, biometric screening and wellness coaches.

According to Human Resources Director, Connie Taggart "This program is a win-win for all of us. It is to everyone’s advantage to be healthy; and healthy, engaged employees result in happier people and more productive workers. It is the culture at Wright-Pierce to encourage health and wellbeing. Our Wright Way to Wellness program is one way we do that.”
