Funding and Financing

Public infrastructure projects often require significant capital expenditures and a well-developed financing plan. Wright-Pierce has considerable experience in developing not only the most cost-effective management plan, but also in developing financing options, and maximizing the use of state and federal grants.

While each project's financing approach is unique, we advise our clients, present them with options, and highlight the advantages / disadvantages of each so that they can make an “informed” business decision that fits their specific needs.

We have a successful track record for obtaining and administering project-financing packages from state, regional and federal sources. We are experienced with the eligibility application, and administration requirements of the various programs and understand how to present a project to maximize grant funding.

In addition to state and federal grant and loan funding sources, we assist our clients with alternative local funding strategies, including the evaluation of the traditional ad valorem tax, user charge systems, impact fee, betterment assessment, and tax increment financing options.
